Outreach Ministries

Dundee UMC is an outwardly focused church that sincerely desires to help the most vulnerable in our community. In an effort to bind-up the broken hearted and bring hope to the hopeless, we engage in various outreach ministries. Just a few of our ministries include:

Engaging in year round ministry with the United Methodist Children’s Home through our ongoing financial support, special collections, the purchase of school supplies and clothes, by buying Christmas presents for numerous children, and by visitation.

Supporting the Salvation Army Angel Tree project by giving money for the purchase of Christmas presents for children whose father or mother is in prison.

Delivering Christmas cookies to shut-ins and nursing homes.

Hosting the "Hoops for [W]holeness" Annual Basketball Tournament for at risk youth in our neighborhood.

Providing a free year round food pantry.

Giving Christmas, Thanksgiving, and Spiring Break food baskets to impoverished families.

The Outreach Ministry Area is always looking for volunteers to lead and serve. All in our community are welcome to volunteer in any of our ministries.

Dundee UMC is a medium sized congregation that serves the central Florida area of Dundee, Winter Haven, Lake Wales, Haines City, Auburndale, and Davenport, but people travel as far as Lakeland and Poinciana to attend. We offer meaningful worship, biblically based preaching, relevant Christian education, and engaging opportunities for service.
