YOUTH AT DUNDEE UMC

Dundee United Methodist Church provides middle school and high school young adults a place to explore questions of faith, study God’s word, build lasting friendships, and serve the community. In addition to Bible studies, games, outings, and community service, our ministries give older youth leadership opportunities that build competency and self-esteem.

OPPORTUNITIES TO PARTICIPATE

 Wednesday Night Program:

Every Wednesday night the youth meet in the church fellowship hall at 6:00 for a free dinner (e.g., pizza, hamburgers, spaghetti). After dinner they gather for a time of sharing and prayer. Then Mr. Jones leads the group in a short devotional and dicussion that relates teachings in the Bible with issues and struggles typical to youth in our community. After the short devotion everyone is invited to play various games and sports.

 Sunday Morning Bible Study:

On Sunday mornings the youth gather at 9:00am for a life-to-Bible topical study. They discuss themes that relate to their own lives (e.g. cliques, cheating, sex, partying, popularity) and explore what the Bible says about them.

Monthly Outings and Trips

The last Wed. of the month, the fellowship gathers for a fun social outing. All of these outings require a permission and medical release form, which can be accessed on this page (see above). The 2008-2009 schedule is as follows:
